Hello everybody my name is Cheri Malozsak and welcome back to Suburban Snacks. We have a new snack this month…candied Green Valley Pecans!
In this episode, we’ll be going over 5 seller tips for the autumn season! Now as we approach the fall season this month, here are some things to consider when selling your home according to the balance.com.
Number 1) Clean Up The Yard. We may not have a ton of leaves to rake up here in Southern Arizona but we do have a lot of weeds. As you know, the monsoon season has been very strong this year and it’s causing a ton of weeds to grow! Make sure when you list your house on the market that all of the landscaping is taken care of. If you have weeds and overgrown trees in your yard, then I can guarantee you that will be the first thing people notice about your house. Spend the time to make your house presentable that way you can expect a quick sale. Number
2) Create Autumn Curb Appeal. This goes hand in hand with Number 1. When you clean up the yard, you should then consider decorating the house with some sort of autumn decorations. This could look like potted flowers or pumpkins and squash at the front door. This will give potential buyers an idea of what they would look like in the home during this time of the year.
Number 3) Check the HVAC System. You want to ensure that buyers are entering a home that smells fresh and inviting. If you have a poor HVAC System that causes poor smells in your house, buyers are definitely going to shy away. So make sure that your HVAC is in working order and that your house smells fresh.
Number 4) Utilize Autumn Accent Colors. During the fall season, it’s nice to enter a home that is well decorated. Now this doesn’t mean overdo it with outrageous and cluttered decorations. But taking the time to accent the home with the season’s colors could be a technique to make potential buyers feel more comfortable when they view the home.
Number 5) Turn On The Lights Everywhere. This is a great tip for any time of the year but as the sun starts to go down sooner you want to make sure that your home is well lit. If it’s not, this could result in bad first impressions and when it comes to selling your home, first impressions are everything! So make sure your house is well lit and presentable.
