We may be a little biased since we live here but YES, Arizona is worth moving to! Other than the fact that the state is always warm, there’s tons of golfing, college towns and sports are always active, there are lakes, hiking, biking, and even a booming economy, the most attractive feature is that the cost of living is affordable! According to SoFi.com, the average cost of living in Arizona is $35,264 per year. According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, here’s how that total cost breaks down: For average housing and utilities it’ll cost each person $6,673. Health care will cost them $6,418 per year. Food and beverages will cost them $3,288, but that’s not including restaurants. Gas and Energy Goods will cost $772 per year. And all other expenditures will cost $18,112 per year. Now of course these are all averages and depending on where you live in Arizona, these averages can go up or down. For instance, if you decide on moving to Benson or Bisbee, which is Southern Arizona, these prices may go down. If you decide to move anywhere in Phoenix, these prices will go up. Overall, Arizona ranks 36th when it comes to which states have the lowest cost of living, according to MERIC’s 2021 Cost of Living Index.
