What’s the Best Time of Year to Purchase a Home? – Suburban Snack 104
Hello everybody, welcome back to Suburban Snacks. I’m Chad Olof and this month’s snack is CANDY CORN Before we review the snack, we will be informing you on the best time of year to purchase a home. Seasonality tends to affect factors in the housing market such as inventory and purchase price.
In the spring, inventory is abundant but this causes competition among buyers which may cause prices to rise. In the winter time, housing prices may be lower and inventory is usually limited. However, many buyers usually prefer to not buy during the winter due to certain weather conditions. During the winter because the housing market slows down, sellers are usually more motivated to sell which means they may throw in extra perks such as fixing the floors or appliances. In the springtime, you may find yourself bidding way and may find that in order to get an offer accepted you will have to bid above purchase price. In conclusion, there is not a more perfect time to buy except for when you are willing, ready and able to purchase a home but purchasing in certain seasons may help you get a certain price range or house you are looking for. So if you are someone looking to purchase or sell a home in Southern Arizona, then we at Suburban would love to help!
